Job Responsibilities
Conduct systemlevel testing and diagnose failures across different product lines.
Replicate and troubleshoot failures reported by manufacturing or customers by recreating configurations and following reported steps.
Collaborate with relevant design teams to diagnose and determine the root cause of issues.
Assist in verifying potential solutions to identified problems.
Employ automation tools to replicate failures and confirm the effectiveness of fixes.
Technical Skills
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python Tcl and shell scripting; capable of developing both specific and generic testing sequences.
Skilled in data parsing using send/expect commands and regular expressions.
Proficient with text editors (e.g. vi) Linux system configuration and networking protocols (TCP/IP) including L2/L3 switching concepts and Cisco router/switch configurations.
Knowledgeable in file transfer protocols (FTP) secure shell access (SSH) virtual machine software (VMWare) software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs).
Other Skills
Analytical problemsolving abilities including troubleshooting debugging triage trialanderror testing; able to drive issues to resolution with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written; adept at time management with a willingness to learn new skills quickly.
Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively with internal/external teams; able to follow instructions/specifications effectively from emails or training materials.
Understanding of hardware componentsCPU/microcontrollers LVDS signaling PCIe interfacesand issues related to signal integrity or power supply.
Familiarity with lab equipment (thermal chambers oscilloscopes multimeters power supplies digitaltoanalog converters).
Comfortable with handson test setup configuration (can lift 30 lbs) and can help transport equipment between buildings.
Other Requirements
Must have a valid passport.
Willingness to travel up to 75% to support customer sites.
