Job Description
Job Title: Information Security Analyst (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions using security tools and technologies.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments penetration tests and security audits.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents analyzing root causes and implementing remediation.
- Develop and implement security policies protocols and procedures to protect company assets.
- Perform regular risk assessments to identify security gaps and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations of networks systems and applications.
- Manage and maintain security tools such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and antivirus software.
- Implement and oversee security controls for data protection including encryption and access management.
- Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field.
- Experience in an Information Security or cybersecurity role.
- Strong understanding of network and application security firewalls and encryption protocols.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) IDS/IPS firewalls and vulnerability scanners.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST ISO 27001 CIS Controls).
- Experience with incident response risk assessments and security audits.
- Experience in regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR HIPAA) and data protection best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
Preferred Skills:
- Security certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or CompTIA Security.
- Experience with cloud security in AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of SIEM platforms like Splunk or ArcSight.
- Experience in threat intelligence and ethical hacking tools.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
