Senior Software Engineer Reporting Data & Insights
(Remote USA)
Description
Our Big Data Engineering team focuses on supporting financial reporting for its merchants. The team ensures that large volumes of transaction data are processed reconciled and delivered as accurate and timely reports to our merchants. These reports include daily monthly quarterly and yearly financial data which are critical for reconciling balances and ensuring accurate money transfers.
What we absolutely need
- Strong understanding of big data technologies.
- Ability to debug and monitor existing data pipelines.
- Skill in reverse engineering to identify root causes.
- Proficiency in the Java programming language.
- Productiongrade experience with Spark Hive MapReduce (EMR) framework Airflow and SQL.
- Knowledge of distributed computing concepts and experience with cloudbased infrastructure (AWS).
- Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams and communicate with technical design teams.
- Strong desire to learn push the envelope and hit the ground running.
- 4 years of experience in designing data pipelines is a plus.
Key skills: Java Spark Hive EMR Airflow AWS SQL
Pay Rate: $60/hr (depending on skills and experience) under a W2 contract
