Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation:
- Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients physical conditions mobility strength and functional abilities.
- Identify and diagnose physical impairments functional limitations and disabilities through assessments and clinical observations.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation:
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans based on assessment findings and client goals.
- Use evidencebased techniques and therapeutic exercises to improve clients physical function mobility and overall health.
- Client Care and Support:
- Provide direct therapy services including manual therapy exercise programs and modalities.
- Educate clients and their families on exercise routines injury prevention and strategies to manage their conditions effectively.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams including physicians occupational therapists and nurses to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation of client progress treatment plans and outcomes.
- Program Development and Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of departmental programs and services.
- Participate in departmental meetings quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure that all therapy practices adhere to regulatory ethical and organizational standards.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and integrate them into therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- One (1) year experience as a physical therapist in acute care facility preferred.
- Completion of Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy entry level Masters Degree or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from accredited college or university.
- Current California license
- BLS (CPR) certification.
