partner staffing on behalf of our Client is looking for a highly motivated Electrical Engineer Level III. You will be responsible for leading the electrical design and analysis for commercial and mixeduse projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that electrical systems are designed to meet the highest standards of performance safety and sustainability.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution lighting fire alarm and communication systems for commercial and mixeduse buildings. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and standards.
- Work closely with architects mechanical engineers and other team members to integrate electrical designs with other building systems. Participate in coordination meetings to resolve design conflicts and optimize system performance.
- Provide advanced technical expertise in electrical engineering. Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians and review their work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Incorporate energyefficient and sustainable practices into electrical designs. Explore and implement innovative solutions that reduce energy consumption and enhance system performance.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations. Present design concepts provide technical recommendations and address any client concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee the quality control process for electrical design and installation. Conduct site inspections to ensure systems are installed according to design specifications and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed electrical design documents including drawings specifications and reports. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure all deliverables are completed on time.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on commercial and mixeduse projects. Experience in the Vancouver or BC market is preferred.
- Proficient in electrical design software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit and ETAP).
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes standards and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation in British Columbia is required.
