Full Stack Developer (PHP/Laravel AWS)

$130000/year on W2 / $85/hour on 1099/C2C
Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for the past three (3) consecutive years to be considered. Sponsorship is not available.
Should be able to undergo Public Trust Clearance process.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement new features for the platform using PHP (Laravel) and other web technologies. Follow best practices to meet project requirements and ensure scalability.
- Support and evolve QA processes by writing automated unit and functional tests for newly developed features.
- Review code from other developers document work and continuously seek to improve code quality.
- Act as the developer support lead on a rotating basis to diagnose and resolve reported issues. Identify the source of problems develop solutions and implement fixes efficiently.
- Build and maintain robust APIs to integrate the platform with other services and applications.
- Work with AWS cloud services to manage the platform infrastructure ensuring reliable efficient and scalable solutions.
- Work closely with the product team users and stakeholders to gather feedback architect new features and continuously improve the platform based on user needs.
- Actively participate in the Agile (Scrum) development process helping the team iteratively improve development workflows quality assurance and overall user experience.
- Collaborate with infrastructure providers (AWS) to plan for future growth and ensure the platforms scalability and reliability.
- Continuously suggest and implement improvements in the development and deployment processes to optimize the performance reliability and security of the platform.
- Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned to support the unit department entity and health system organization
- Based on your interests we may ask you as a technology professional to support growthrelated activities including (but not limited to) RFI RFP prototypes training interns and oral presentations.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field (required). Equivalent experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 3 years of experience developing multitiered web applications using Laravel PHP framework.
- Experience with AWS cloud services including EC2 S3 Lambda RDS and other AWS tools.
- 1 years of experience building web applications using clientside frameworks such as Vue.js React or Angular (preferred).
- Proficient in PHP Laravel web frameworks with strong skills in building RESTful APIs database design and management.
- Experience in clientside scripting languages like JavaScript HTML CSS and clientside frameworks like Vue.js React or Angular.
- Handson experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services for managing scalable reliable applications.
- Strong knowledge of RDBMS design and management preferably with MySQL with experience in other databases like Postgres Oracle or MSSQL.
- Proficiency in version control systems like Git for managing code across development teams.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in a production environment and communicate findings clearly with nontechnical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Scrum/Agile methodologies contributing to sprint planning and delivering highquality code in iterative cycles.
- Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams including product managers developers and endusers to translate user needs into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a high attention to detail. Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Node.js and functional programming paradigms.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker or other containerization technologies.
- Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
