The role requires the incumbent to conduct mechanical and thermal analysis of products using advanced simulation technologies to enhance design reliability and performance.
The incumbent will also collaborate with crossfunctional teams to assess new technologies and optimize packaging solutions for customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive mechanical and thermal analysis and characterization of products using simulation tools.
- Develop new mechanical and thermal capabilities using the latest simulation and modeling technologies.
- Design and optimize packaging solutions that meet customer requirements for reliability performance and manufacturability.
- Assess the feasibility of new assembly and packaging processes focusing on mechanical and reliability performance.
- Collaborate with R&D manufacturing and engineering teams to drive innovation in packaging technologies.
- Conduct mechanical thermal and reliability tests validating results against simulations for accuracy.
- Continuously monitor industry trends and integrate new methodologies to enhance packaging designs and processes.
Requirements
- Degree or Master s in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in mechanical and thermal analysis with a focus on packaging technologies.
- Proficiency in FEM simulation tools such as Ansys or Abaqus.
- Experience with thermomechanical modeling for packaging processes.
- Familiarity with mechanical and reliability testing methods such as drop tests warpage measurement and TCOB tests.
- Experience in thermal modeling using CFD software like Flotherm or Icepak is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in crossfunctional teams.
