Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a DirectHire position in Orlando FL. This role involves working on largescale mechanical system design projects including everything from initial design to system installation and commissioning. The ideal candidate will be skilled in mechanical engineering principles including stress analysis load calculations and system integration.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and implement mechanical systems that meet process and safety requirements.
- Perform system analysis and calculations (stress fatigue reliability etc.).
- Develop mechanical system design documents including assembly drawings and installation procedures using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic control systems.
- Create system configurations detailed mechanical descriptions and test plans.
- Act as a project manager on smaller projects ranging from $50K to $250K.
- Oversee project team members develop project schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
- Lead startup and debugging of integrated systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 5 years in mechanical system design with expertise in AutoCAD SolidWorks stress analysis acceleration forces and ASTM Standards for amusement rides.
- Competencies: Experience in collecting field data system design and contract management. Strong decisionmaking organizing and problemsolving skills.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 35%.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift climb push pull and dismount equipment.
- Clear vision color perception hearing and dexterity in hands.
Work Environment:
- Standard office setting onsite office environment and diverse industrial/construction environments. Frequent use of PCs fax machines copy machines and phones.
