ServiceTest Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a Service/Test Technician for a testing systems/equipment manufacturing company in Acton MA. This role is responsible for setting up conducting and troubleshooting tests on testing equipment with a focus on refrigeration HVAC and electrical systems and ensuring equipment quality and performance. This is a DIRECT HIRE position.

Responsibilities:

• Starting up troubleshooting and performing tests on our standard product line including the calibration and operation of refrigeration HVAC and electrical systems
  
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with systems making necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure proper functionality
  
• Perform basic final assembly work
  
• Ensure products meet quality and performance standards
  
• Implement and improve procedures
  
• Gather and document pertinent data on the performance of products and prototypes
  
• Maintain standards for product testing and inspection as part of the overall quality standard
  
• Participate in a team environment to develop and design new and existing products
  
• Implement and participate in Lean and 5S processes and projects
  
• Working closely with the engineering and quality teams to improve overall product quality.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
  
• Previous experience with HVAC/R systems refrigeration and electrical systems
  
• Competent with computers including Google suites preferred
  
• Previous experience in a test or service technician role preferably in a manufacturing or commercial environment preferred
  
• Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
  
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings schematics and wiring diagrams
  
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies preferred
  
• Knowledge of test standards (ASTM IEC ISO MILSTD) preferred
  

The schedule is MonFri 7AM3:30PM. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. The pay is dependent on experience.
