DevOpsSystems Engineer Azure DevOps

This is a remote position.

• Application deployment automation using industry standard deployment and configuration tools.
  
• Design and implement continuous delivery pipelines that serve the purpose of provisioning and operating client test as well as production environments.
  
• Maintain monitor & troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure including but not limited to AD DNS DHCP IIS SQL Group Policy Networking & AWS security groups and permissions.
  
• Provides application support for software running in production.
  
• Support Windows Systems and CI/CD pipelines targeting Windows applications running on AWS.
  
• Monitor tools and proactively helps team struggling with systems issues.
  
• Participate in root cause analysis debugging support and postmortem analysis for security incidents and service interruptions.
  
• Research and recommend third party tools to aid in monitoring data protection troubleshooting and performance.
  
• Analyze trends in system utilization to predict future growth for capacity planning purposes.
  
• Troubleshoot server and application issues utilizing event logs application and IIS logs network monitoring tools and SQL Profiler.
  
• Maintain and update operating systems and system software.
  
• Request install and configure SSL certificates.
  
• Creates system documentation and diagrams.
  
• Maintains detailed documentation of all job functions for use as reference material.
  
• Install and configure SQL Server including high availability using Always On Availability Groups.
  
• Experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering.
  
• Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Industry standard tools and services.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or related field OR current IT Certification Status.
  
• Microsoft Windows Engineering background.
  
• Experience with a Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment platform such as Azure DevOps.
  
• Understanding of AWS service offerings AWS associate level certification a plus.
  
• Experience supporting IIS servers and .Net applications.
  
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and debugging.
  
• Participate in oncall rotation.
  
• 5 years experience in Windows Server VMware & AWS administration.
  
• Must have experience in administering virtualized servers & clients.
  
• Flexibility to work outside of normal operating hours when requested.
  
• Ability to be given a task or project and see it through to completion in the time estimated.
