We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their thriving team in Haywards Heath. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to advance into a larger practice or transition into a more senior bookkeeping role. The firm offers a competitive salary ranging from 27000 to 35000 and provides study support for those wishing to complete their AAT or ICB qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for a diverse portfolio of clients. Record daytoday financial transactions including purchases sales receipts and payments.
Accounts Preparation: Assist in the preparation of accounts up to trial balance ensuring all financial data is accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of clients bank accounts and financial statements.
VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and deadlines.
Payroll Support: Provide support in processing payroll for clients ensuring accuracy and compliance with current legislation.
Management Reports: Produce management reports and financial statements as required providing valuable insights to clients for their business operations.
Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software such as Sage QuickBooks Xero and Excel to maintain and manage clients financial records efficiently.
Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to address queries provide updates and deliver excellent customer service.
Team Collaboration: Work within a friendly and collaborative team of bookkeepers contributing to a positive and supportive working environment.
