Job Description

TPF Recruitment proudly represents a prestigious midtier firm of Chartered Accountants headquartered in the bustling city of Reading. Currently we are seeking an adept Audit Manager to join their thriving Audit & Assurance team.


As the Audit Manager for our client you will be instrumental in driving their audit services forward. We are seeking an accomplished audit professional with a proven track record at the managerial level someone who shares our clients passion for delivering excellence in audit services. In this role you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future trajectory of our clients service line and the firm as a whole.


Your responsibilities will encompass the proficient management of a substantial client portfolio. This entails meticulous planning of assignments adept briefing of staff on client intricacies ensuring meticulous adherence to auditing standards and surpassing both client and statutory deadlines with finesse. Additionally you will spearhead advisory engagements a testament to your evolving role within our clients dynamic environment.


Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee assignments in alignment with our client s procedural standards confirming arrangements with clients including cost estimations and billing.
  • Uphold audit quality as paramount actively engaging in internal and external quality assurance endeavors.
  • Provide comprehensive briefings to staff on client nuances and preassignment directives offering guidance and support as needed.
  • Ensure assignments are completed within budgetary constraints promptly addressing any significant points with the assignment partner and client.
  • Cultivate robust client relationships embodying the ethos of excellent client service throughout all interactions.
  • Foster crossdepartmental collaboration to fulfill diverse client needs leveraging our client s specialist services where applicable.
  • Maintain a keen eye on technical advancements staying abreast of industry developments through continuous professional development.
  • Harness your business acumen to identify new opportunities crafting compelling proposals and engaging in client presentations.
  • Assume a mentoring role providing guidance to students and/or seniors within the team.


Requirements


Personal and professional attributes we seek include:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience at the managerial level in a similar capacity.
  • Proven ability to manage client portfolios and nurture enduring client relationships.
  • Extensive audit experience delivering highquality audits.
  • Familiarity with auditing within the SME sector is advantageous.
  • Charity sector experience is desirable but not mandatory.
  • A penchant for business development activities is highly regarded.

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong audit and accounts experience. Previous experience working in an accountancy practice. Experience conducting UK company audits. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with accounting software such as SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks, and Kashflow. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confidence in building and managing professional client relationships. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Team player with the ability to build strong working relationships.
