Position Overview: The Junior Financial Analyst Risk Management will support the Risk Management department by analyzing financial data identifying potential risks and assisting in the development of strategies to mitigate those risks. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about financial analysis risk assessment and working within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and monitoring of financial risks across various portfolios.
- Analyze financial statements market trends and risk metrics to provide actionable insights.
- Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Assist in the creation of risk models and stress testing scenarios.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective risk mitigation and compliance.
- Maintain and update risk management databases and documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends regulatory changes and best practices in risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related field.
- 12 years of experience in financial analysis risk management or a similar role (internships included).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools (e.g. SQL Python is a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial risk management software or systems.
- Basic knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Certification or coursework in risk management (e.g. CFA FRM) is a plus.
