Job Summary:
This position supports potential and existing customers in the technical application of our products. Remote positions available. Knowledgeable about fundamentals of most applications and how our products apply. Functions independently.
Reports to: Product Line Manager
Essential Duties:
Write application notes.
First line of contact for the internal Technical Sales Support group related to application questions.
Ability to test the product in the application.
Have direct interactions with customers both remotely and in person once detailed application related questions arise.
Draft training material for internal and external use.
Provide marketing input to the Product Line Manager from Sales and Customer interactions.
Draft marketing material in conjunction with the Marketing Communications group.
Attend industry conferences and participates in industry societies.
Conduct webinars & customer training seminars.
Attend internal training and coordination events.
Support sales to complete customer acceptance of product use:
o Answer application and product related questions prior to sale.
o Provide training on product & application basics to sales and target customers.
o For large or nuanced opportunities communicate detailed technical information to proposal team or PLM for quoting. This may require a visit to the site.
o Answer application related questions as they arise.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
BSEE Professional Experience or technical experience.
Travel up to 40%.
Power system experience.
Familiarity with power system simulation and coordination software.
Interest in aspects of the evolving power system such as DC power DERs IBRs BESS microgrids etc.
