Overview
As a Tivoli Work Load Scheduler you will play a crucial role in the organizations IT infrastructure by managing scheduling and automating critical workload processes. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient of batch jobs and providing support for troubleshooting any issues related to the workload scheduling system.
Key responsibilities
- Designing developing and implementing workload schedules based on business requirements
- Monitoring and managing the of batch jobs to ensure timely completion
- Analyzing and optimizing workload performance to improve efficiency
- Automating repetitive tasks related to job scheduling and monitoring
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to integrate workload scheduling with other IT systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to workload scheduling and job
- Developing and maintaining documentation for workload scheduling processes and procedures
- Providing technical support and guidance to endusers and IT staff for workload scheduling
- Participating in the evaluation and implementation of new workload scheduling technologies
- Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements in workload scheduling activities
- Performing regular backups and restoration of workload scheduling configurations and data
- Conducting performance tuning and capacity planning for workload scheduling environment
- Training endusers and IT staff on best practices for workload scheduling and job
- Participating in oncall rotation and providing 24/7 support for critical workload processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Certification in Tivoli Work Load Scheduler or equivalent workload automation tool
- Proven experience working as a Tivoli Work Load Scheduler or in a similar role
- Indepth knowledge of workload scheduling concepts and best practices
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell Perl or Python for automation
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and job environments
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to workload scheduling
- Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements related to workload scheduling
- Familiarity with performance tuning and capacity planning for workload scheduling systems
- Experience with backup and restoration procedures for workload scheduling configurations
- Capability to provide oncall support and work in a 24/7 operational environment
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail in workload scheduling tasks
- Ability to adapt to new workload scheduling technologies and continuous learning mindset
