Overview
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of database solutions using SQL and MySQL
- Conduct data validation cleansing and transformation tasks
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries for performance
- Support the development team in troubleshooting database issues
- Assist in developing and maintaining database documentation
- Contribute to the creation and modification of database structures
- Participate in the testing and quality assurance of database projects
- Assist in data analysis and reporting tasks as required
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather requirements and deliver database solutions
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in SQL/MySQL technologies
- Optimize database performance through indexing and query optimization
- Adhere to best practices in database management and security
- Assist in the integration and migration of data between systems
- Support the implementation of data warehousing and business intelligence solutions
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data pipelines and ETL processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Strong understanding of SQL and database management concepts
- Proficiency in MySQL and relational database technologies
- Knowledge of data analysis and manipulation techniques
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Python Java or C
- Experience with database design and normalization principles
- Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
- Understanding of database indexing and query optimization
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools is a plus
- Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques
