JOB SUMMARY: This position leads the Sales Department to drive revenue into the business by motivating their teams to generate leads build client relationships hit forecasts provide product application support in markets served and ultimately meet customer requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to the Sales Department consisting of teams of Inside Sales Engineers and Sales Support Specialists
- Organizes and oversees the schedules territories and performance of regional sales teams
- Interview hire and onboard new staff members
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
- Manages employees timecards and time off
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Handles sales inquiries from commercial industrial and other customers and attempts to convince prospective clients of the desirability and practicability of Olsuns products
- Reviews and analyzes sales reports; uses data to project sales determine profitability and targets and identify potential new markets
- Consults with potential customers to understand their application needs; identifies and suggests equipment products or services that will meet those requirements
- Resolves customer complaints staffing problems and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations
- Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales strategies
- Acts as company representative at various trade association meetings
- Provides inhouse training for appropriate Olsun personnel for products associated with the Olsun markets served
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Electrical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering preferred
- 10 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Capable of providing direction to other members of the department
- Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals financial reports and legal documents
- Ability to effectively present information to members of sales team other departments and management staff
- Detailoriented and able to convey discrepancies found in product reviews
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations
- Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Possess time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with Microsoft Office specifically Outlook Word and Excel
- Knowledge of ERP or MRP software design software order processing systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
