Overview:
As a Primary Care Physician you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients promoting health education and managing chronic conditions. You will serve as the first point of contact for patients diagnosing and treating various illnesses and referring individuals to specialists when necessary. By building longterm relationships with patients you will have the opportunity to positively impact their overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting physical examinations and interpreting medical history
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses
- Managing patients health conditions and coordinating with specialists
- Prescribing and administering appropriate medications and treatments
- Providing health education and preventive care
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Documenting patient care and maintaining accurate medical records
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing urgent care
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and staying updated with medical advancements
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Residency training in family medicine internal medicine or pediatrics
- Board certification in primary care specialization
- State medical license and DEA registration
- Strong clinical knowledge and experience in diagnosing and managing common medical conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion towards patients
- Ability to work effectively in a teambased healthcare environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and medical software
