Overview
The Primary Care Physician plays a crucial role within our healthcare organization providing comprehensive medical care to a wide range of patients. This position is instrumental in promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of the community by offering preventative care diagnosing and treating various medical conditions and managing overall patient care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient consultations and physical examinations
- Diagnose and treat various acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
- Prescribe medications and formulate treatment plans
- Provide ongoing patient education and counseling
- Coordinate with specialists for further diagnosis and treatment
- Oversee and manage chronic conditions and preventive care
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in healthcare
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay updated with medical advancements and best practices
- Contribute to continuing medical education and knowledge sharing

- Provide telemedicine services where applicable
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification in Internal Medicine Family Medicine or related specialty
- Licensure to practice medicine in the designated state
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in primary care
- Proven proficiency in medical diagnosis treatment and patient care
- Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of evidencebased practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative healthcare environment
