Overview
As a Family Medicine Physician you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to individuals and families. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of illnesses overseeing preventive care and promoting overall wellbeing. Key responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories for patients of all ages
- Diagnosing and treating various acute and chronic illnesses
- Developing personalized treatment plans for individual patients
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures
- Providing immunizations and managing vaccination schedules
- Offering guidance and support for healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Managing and coordinating care for patients with multiple healthcare needs
- Overseeing chronic disease management for conditions such as diabetes hypertension and asthma
- Assisting in the medical supervision and training of healthcare staff and medical students
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and promoting patient safety
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
- Participating in oncall rotations and providing care in urgent situations
- Keeping abreast of the latest medical developments and guidelines
- Contributing to the overall development and success of the medical practice or facility
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
- Completion of residency training in family medicine or primary care
- Board certification in family medicine or eligibility for certification
- State medical license and DEA registration
- Demonstrated clinical experience in providing primary care for patients of all ages
- Proficiency in clinical diagnosis treatment planning and medical decisionmaking
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative teambased healthcare environment
