Overview:
The Health Care Recruiter plays a critical role in the healthcare organization by sourcing engaging and hiring top talent to meet the staffing needs of medical facilities. They ensure that the healthcare providers are equipped with skilled professionals to deliver quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies
- Source screen and interview healthcare professionals including nurses physicians and allied health staff
- Coordinate and attend job fairs open houses and other recruitment events to attract potential candidates
- Develop and maintain relationships with nursing schools medical programs and healthcare organizations to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
- Conduct reference and background checks on potential hires
- Manage the offer process including negotiating salaries and benefits
- Stay updated on healthcare industry trends and labor market conditions to inform recruitment strategies
- Utilize recruitment software and databases to track candidate applications and manage the hiring process
- Participate in onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Provide reports and metrics on recruiting activities and candidate pipelines
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and employment laws
- Contribute to employer branding and marketing initiatives to attract top talent
- Collaborate with the HR team on workforce planning and talent management
- Participate in continuous improvement of recruitment processes and practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
- Previous experience in healthcare recruitment or talent acquisition
- Deep understanding of healthcare roles certifications and licensure requirements
- Proven track record in sourcing and attracting healthcare professionals
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills to evaluate candidate qualifications
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing healthcare recruitment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and build relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic healthcare environment
- Proficiency in using recruitment software and databases
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret recruitment metrics and trends
- Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills

- Professional certification in HR or recruitment (e.g. PHR SHRMCP) is a plus
