Job Description
Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Performing echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures
- Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment
- Interpreting imaging data and providing preliminary findings to physicians
- Assisting in transesophageal echocardiography and stress testing
- Ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures
- Collaborating with cardiologists and other medical staff
- Keeping accurate patient records and imaging files
- Participating in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Continuously staying updated on industry advancements and best practices
- Adhering to regulatory and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- RDMS or RDCS certification
- Valid state licensure as a cardiac sonographer
- Experience in performing echocardiograms and vascular ultrasounds
- Proficiency in ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic medical environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in imaging and reporting
- Commitment to patient care and comfort
- Knowledge of patient privacy and confidentiality regulations
- Capability to adapt to new technologies and software
- Willingness to pursue continuous education and professional development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of and adherence to healthcare regulations and standards
