Overview
As a Family Medicine Physician you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages serving as their primary point of contact for healthrelated concerns. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses promoting health and wellness and managing ongoing medical conditions. Family Medicine Physicians are essential in addressing the diverse healthcare needs of individuals and families fostering longterm patient relationships and delivering highquality holistic care.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and health history interviews
- Diagnosing illnesses and prescribing appropriate treatment plans
- Providing preventive care services such as vaccinations and health screenings
- Managing chronic conditions and coordinating with specialists as needed
- Offering personalized health education and counseling to patients and their families
- Performing minor surgical procedures and suturing when necessary
- Ensuring accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Participating in oncall rotations and handling afterhours patient needs
- Staying updated on medical advancements and evidencebased practices
- Supervising medical assistants and other support staff
- Contributing to quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Engaging in community outreach and health promotion activities
- Attending and actively participating in clinical meetings and continuing medical education
- Maintaining ethical and professional conduct at all times
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility for certification in Family Medicine
- State medical licensure and DEA registration
- Strong clinical acumen and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
