Job Description
Overview
As a Family Medicine Physician you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive primary care to individuals and families of all ages. Your role is integral in promoting overall wellness diagnosing and treating illnesses and managing chronic conditions. You will work closely with patients to educate them about preventive measures guide them through treatment plans and address their healthcare needs with compassion and expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and providing accurate diagnoses
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans
- Managing chronic conditions and coordinating longterm care
- Providing routine checkups vaccinations and screenings
- Interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing appropriate medications
- Offering guidance on lifestyle modifications and preventive care
- Communicating effectively with patients to address their concerns and provide education
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Keeping detailed and accurate medical records
- Participating in continuous medical education and professional development
- Adhering to ethical and legal standards in healthcare
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practices
- Advising on community health and wellness programs
- Participating in oncall schedules and emergency care as needed
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Completion of an accredited family medicine residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in family medicine
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration
- Demonstrated clinical experience in family medicine
- Proficiency in medical diagnosis and treatment planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment
- Uptodate knowledge of best practices and advancements in family medicine
- Strong commitment to patientcentered care and evidencebased medicine
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medical documentation
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards in medical practice
- Willingness to participate in continuous medical education and quality improvement
- Availability for oncall duties and flexible work hours
