Overview:
The Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in the aerospace industry by ensuring accurate tracking and management of inventory. They are responsible for maintaining inventory records processing orders and coordinating with various departments to support production and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive store and issue aerospace parts and materials
- Accurately maintain inventory records and documentation
- Process and fulfill inventory orders and requests
- Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure inventory levels meet operational needs
- Perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies or shortages
- Assist in the organization and optimization of inventory storage areas
- Follow safety and compliance guidelines for handling hazardous materials
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding inventory matters
- Conduct research and stay updated on aerospace industry trends and inventory best practices
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory processes
- Contribute to the development and implementation of inventory management policies
- Utilize inventory management software and systems effectively

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management is a plus
- Proven experience in inventory management preferably in the aerospace industry
- Understanding of aerospace parts and materials including their specifications and handling requirements
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools
- Ability to interpret technical documents such as blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Problemsolving skills and ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the aerospace sector
