Overview
As a Warehouse Associate in the aerospace industry you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of the warehouse ensuring that all aerospace components and materials are stored handled and distributed in a safe and organized manner. The position holds significant importance in maintaining the integrity of aerospace supply chains and supporting the timely delivery of highquality aerospace products.
Key responsibilities
- Receive inspect and store aerospace parts and materials following industry safety standards
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery to safely transport and store aerospace components
- Pick pack and ship aerospace materials in compliance with customer requirements and shipping regulations
- Perform quality control checks on inbound and outbound aerospace products to maintain industry standards
- Keep the warehouse clean organized and free from safety hazards at all times
- Assist in the of regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse processes and efficiency
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to fulfill aerospace material requests and order requirements
- Adhere to strict aerospace industry regulations and quality standards throughout all warehouse operations
- Document and report any discrepancies damages or issues related to aerospace materials and inventory
- Support the implementation of lean management principles and best practices in warehouse operations
- Participate in training programs to stay updated on aerospace industry regulations and warehouse procedures
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment preferably in the aerospace industry
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling aerospace materials and components
- Good physical condition and stamina to handle the demands of a warehouse environment
- Basic computer skills for entering and accessing warehouse data
- Understanding of quality control processes and procedures in the aerospace industry
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors
- Willingness to adhere to strict safety regulations in a warehouse setting
- Flexibility to work in different shifts including weekends and holidays if required
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling regulations is a plus
- Certification in warehouse operations or forklift operation is preferred
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing warehouse challenges
