Job Title: Shopify Developer
Job Summary:
As a Shopify developer you will be responsible for building and maintaining ecommerce websites for our clients or business. You will work closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure that the websites are visually appealing userfriendly and fully functional. Your expertise in Shopify and web development will be crucial to delivering highquality responsive online stores that drive sales and meet our clients needs.
Responsibilities:
Shopify Store Development: Design develop and maintain Shopify ecommerce websites ensuring they are responsive userfriendly and aligned with client/business requirements.
Customization: Implement custom features functionalities and themes to enhance the Shopify stores performance and appearance.
Integrations: Integrate thirdparty applications payment gateways and other tools to optimize the ecommerce experience.
Theme Development: Create and modify Shopify themes to achieve the desired design and branding for each store.
Frontend and Backend Development: Work on both frontend (HTML CSS JavaScript) and backend (Shopify Liquid) development to ensure seamless website operation.
Optimization: Monitor and optimize website speed performance and security.
Testing: Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs and issues ensuring a smooth user experience.
Collaboration: Collaborate with designers marketers and other team members to ensure the website aligns with the overall business goals and branding.
Responsive Design: Ensure that the Shopify store is accessible and functional on various devices including desktop mobile and tablet.
SEO: Implement SEO best practices to improve the websites visibility and search engine rankings.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the development process codes and changes for future reference.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Shopify developer with a strong portfolio of Shopifybased ecommerce websites.
Proficiency in Shopify Liquid HTML CSS JavaScript and other relevant web development technologies.
Strong knowledge of responsive web design and best practices.
Familiarity with SEO principles and their application in web development.
Experience in custom theme development and integration of thirdparty apps.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Knowledge of ecommerce and online shopping trends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Shopify certification or relevant certifications in web development.
Experience with other ecommerce platforms or CMS systems.
Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git).
Familiarity with web performance optimization techniques.
