Job Description
Our Client is a leading private school known for its excellence and outstanding academic records based in Ogun state. They are searching for a dedicated and experienced Geography teacher to join their team. As a Geography teacher you will be required to prepare and give lessons in a range of topics such as the physical environment world climate rural and urban development settlement and population studies
Responsibilities
Encourage high standards in all aspects of school life particularly in student progress.
Contribute to the effective and efficient running of the School
Promote a school culture which is positive purposeful and professional
Support and motivate students teachers and other school employees
Encourage consultation review and improvement
Requirements
- Degree in geography or a related discipline with expertise in the use of ICT in education.
- Developing and planning subjects teaching strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Developing teaching materials and teaching aids.
- Plan and prepare wellstructured clearly presented lessons.
- Help students develop High Performance Learning skills in line with school s values and ethos
- Make sure that the classroom is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning
- Generate enthusiasm for the subject being taught and inspire all students to work to their potential
- Set homework according to policy and pertinent to the student s ability and wider work load.
- Be punctual to lessons
- Strong multitasking abilities and sound knowledge of current events.
- Paying extra attention to struggling learners.
