Job Description

As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for facilitating and guiding teams through the Scrum Framework ensuring that all team members adhere to established Scrum practices while removing any obstacles that may arise. You will organize and lead standups sprint planning and reviews collaborating closely with various team members including the Product Owner and Developers to foster clear communication alignment on priorities and continuous improvement.

Scrum to It: Your Role in the Agile Adventure

Agile Coaching and Facilitation

  • Educate and coach the Scrum Team and stakeholders on Agile Principles the Scrum Framework and best practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum events such as Sprint Planning Daily Standups Sprint Reviews and Sprint Retrospectives ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team.

People Leadership

  • Serve the team by removing obstacles or impediments that hinder their progress including technical organizational or interpersonal issues.
  • Foster a safe supportive and transparent environment empowering team members to selforganize make decisions and continuously improve.
  • Support the development of a highperforming selforganizing team by identifying skills gaps promoting knowledge sharing and facilitating teambuilding activities.
  • Address and resolve conflicts within the Scrum team fostering a culture of trust respect and collaboration.
  • Ensure the Scrum team follows organizational policies standards guidelines and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote adherence to Agile and Scrum principles within the team and organization contributing to the establishment of a robust Agile governance framework.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with stakeholders to keep the organization informed on technological innovations and initiatives identifying areas of concern assisting in developing relevant solutions tracking progress and driving activities to completion.
  • Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions allowing them to focus on delivering highquality work during each sprint.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure they understand and respect the Scrum process and the team s commitment to delivering value incrementally.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Scrum team facilitating regular Retrospectives and encouraging team members to share ideas feedback and lessons learned.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the team s Agile practices and overall performance.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Foster open communication and collaboration within the Scrum team and between the team and stakeholders ensuring alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Act as a bridge between the Scrum team and other roles in the organization such as Product Owners Project Managers and senior leadership to ensure seamless collaboration and information flow.

Project Management

  • Define project scope timelines resource allocation success measures and other necessary reporting requirements for each project undertaken.
  • Manage project budgets and expenses.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project requirements.
  • Ensure team compliance with Scrum and Agile methodologies and best practices.

Metrics and Reporting

  • Track and monitor key Agile metrics such as velocity sprint burndown and team capacity to help the team assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate the team s progress impediments and achievements to stakeholders ensuring transparency and visibility into the team s work.

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any administrative or nonadministrative duties as assigned by any of the Company s representatives from time to time through direct written order or verbal assignment.

Requirements

Suit Up for Success: Your Scrum Credentials

  • 35 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in software development/QA roles within Agile and Scrum frameworks
  • Degree or coursework in Computer Science Engineering or Information Technology
  • Proven leadership skills with a strong emphasis on servant leadership principles
  • Expertise in identifying and resolving complex issues effectively
  • Proficient in JIRA and MS Office Suite
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
  • Certified Scrum Master is a plus
