Position: Customer Chief Engineer Technical Strategy Leader for Customer Account

Role Overview:
The Customer Chief Engineer will serve as the Technical Strategy Leader for a key customer account providing technical system solution consultancy both externally and internally. The role involves influencing customer requirements to ensure that the right products (SF crossSF or crossdivision) are offered at the appropriate time. This position also involves driving innovation managing customer projects and leading a team of customer project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical System Solution Consultancy:
Understand and influence customer requirements to ensure the optimal product solution is offered. Serve as the customer voice to shape product strategy. - Innovation:
Act as the primary point of contact for driving innovation at the customer ensuring alignment with customer needs and expectations. - Project Management:
Sponsor all customer projects (pending establishment of customer project management capacities). Facilitate knowledge transfer and share best practices internally and externally. Ensure proper project planning including resource allocation and payment. - Leadership:
Lead all customer project managers and oversee the customer interface serving as the main point of contact and escalation path for the customer. Lead collaboration teams focused on innovation and system development.
Qualifications:
- Education:
BSc/MSc in Science Engineering or a related field. - Experience:
Proven track record in a customerfacing role with a strong technical background. At least 5 years of management experience in engineering product management or project management. - Skills:
Excellent business presentation and communication skills in English. Nativelevel proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N1).
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Deep understanding of vehicle software development processes and an extensive network within the JOEM/Tier software development community.
- Experience working in a global environment.
- Experience in people management.
