Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse Rehabilitation (Nursing)
Location: Rochester NY 14617
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Shift: 7am 7pm 12hrs/day 36hrs/week
NO Locals only Traveler

Job Description:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Acute Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit ensuring safety comfort and dignity.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients physical and psychological status and document changes in condition.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed monitoring for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding care plans rehabilitation goals and discharge planning.
- Continuously monitor patients progress and response to treatment adjusting care plans as needed.
- Work closely with physical therapists occupational therapists social workers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) preferably using Epic.
- Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years of recent experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR is strongly preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in rehabilitation nursing are a plus.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Working Conditions:
- Fastpaced rehabilitation environment with diverse patient needs.
- Requires standing walking and assisting patients as needed.
- Must be able to respond quickly to patient emergencies.
