We are seeking a skilled Android Engineer to join our client dynamic team. You will work closely with a C/C Software Engineer and a QA Engineer to design develop and optimize Android applications. The role will focus on porting existing RTOSbased applications to Android creating new crossplatform features and ensuring the highest quality in all deliverables. As part of a crossfunctional and global team you will contribute to the system architecture and collaborate on innovative solutions for their cuttingedgeproducts.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the C/C Software Engineer to port existing RTOSbased applications to the Android platform.
Develop and implement new crossplatform features with a strong emphasis on quality and performance.
Contribute to system architecture discussions and highlevel design decisions.
Work alongside the QA Engineer to design and develop automated testing strategies for Android applications.
Optimize application performance particularly in wireless communication scenarios (Bluetooth WiFi etc.).
Ensure that Android applications are integrated seamlessly with embedded systems.
Stay uptodate with the latest Android development trends and technologies.
Participate actively in code reviews debugging and issue resolution.
Work within an Agile/KANBAN development environment contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle.
Requirements:
5 years of experience in Android development.
Strong proficiency in Java/Kotlin programming languages.
Experience with Android Studio Android SDK and UI frameworks.
Familiarity with C/C programming particularly in the context of embedded systems or crossplatformdevelopment.
Experience with wireless communication standards such as Bluetooth WiFi etc.
Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
Experience with version control systems like BitBucket or Git.
Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools e.g. Jenkins.
Degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Strong understanding of objectoriented software design.
Excellent debugging and problemsolving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a crossfunctional and distributed team.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Selfmotivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
