OCIOand the Department of Management are seeking a Web Content Architect to supportapproximately 80 Drupal websites migrating to a new code base and design. TheContent Architect will be expected to work with agency content managers withGoogle Analytics data and data from other SEO tools to make recommendationsabout retiring content content design and navigation. The Content Architectwill handle requests from across the enterprise to publish new and updatedwebsite content and verify maintain and update as necessary website calendarentries and notifications.
Themigration to the new brand has been structured into five phases with this Scopeof Work covering of Phases One through Three for 76 agency Drupalwebsites including the integration of Iowa Department of Public Health .Netwebsite. These sites have over 118000 pages and 41696 documents.
Thenew Iowa brand design is intended to be a collaborative process incorporatingthe best design features from recent State website development efforts andother State portals based on Drupal (e.g. Arizona Georgia Massachusetts andNorth Carolina).
Thegoal of the project is to provide human centered design resulting in a portalexperience that is designed around life events rather than the stateagencies organizational structures. Constituents should be able to accessservices through a single web portal.
Duties:
Abilityto create and publish website content using common Content Management Systems.
Identifykeywords and implement keyword placement and SEO best practices.
Abilityto use SEO tools to identify content to be improved.
Abilityto capture and convey the interrelationship of program information (and largeconcepts in general).
Abilityto edit content to plain language an 8th grade reading level and for use in achatbot.
Abilityto write content for chat
Abilityto produce Google Analytics Reports
Abilityto setup Google Tag Manager
Abilityto work in Google Search Console to submit sitemaps and remove pages fromindexing where 404 errors occur.
