The position requires a high degree of administrative and managerial ability. The forest manger handles supervision of professional and technical work performed by the staff. The forest management program must ensure healthy forest resources, a continuing source of stumpage income, an employment opportunities for tribal members. This program is a major . The tribes have an integral approach to management of Tribal resources including water, fish, wildlife, recreation, cultural grazing and other sources of value. Long range planning as well as sound programs of implementation are essential to meet program requirements. This positions requires a minimum Bachelor of Science degree with a major field of study in Forestry or a related field and 10 years of experience. This position also requires experience as a supervisor or manager. Must submit and pass a criminal background check with Federal, Tribal and State Law Enforcement. Must also posses a valid drivers license and pass pre-employment drug test.
