Our client is seeking an experienced estimator with a proficient background in residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate and efficient estimating of costs for residential construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications to understand project requirements and scope of work.
  
  
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and obtain competitive pricing for materials, labor, and services.
  
  
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and accurately estimate material quantities and costs for residential construction projects, including high-end finishes and luxury features.
  
  
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and value engineering recommendations.
  
  
• Evaluate project scope changes, requests for information, and contract amendments to assess cost impacts and adjust estimates accordingly.
  
  
• Maintain organized records of estimates, pricing data, and project documentation.
  
  
• Stay abreast of market trends, material prices, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
  
  

What you will bring to the role

• Minimum 5 years experience in estimating within the construction industry.
  
  
• Comprehensive understanding of the residential construction process, contributing to efficient project planning and .
  
  
• Qualification in Building / Construction and/or trade experience is highly desirable.
  
  
• Familiarity with estimating systems, facilitating streamlined workflows and accurate estimations.
  
  
• Strong time management skills, ensuring timely delivery of estimates and project milestones.
  
  
• Inherent self-motivation and a drive to excel, fostering a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  
  
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding quality standards.
  
  
• Problem-solving abilities, enabling effective resolution of challenges and optimization of processes.
