Job Description
We are looking for a Lead/Senior Data Engineer for our client project. The project focuses on migrating data from Tableau to PowerBI and AWS to GCP enabling advanced analytics and preparing for AI/ML capabilities an Analytics Sandbox and other innovative initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the support team at the 3rd level of support.
- Write and manage complex SQL queries to extract and model data across multiple databases.
- Set up and manage data pipelines to extract transform and load data efficiently from a variety of sources.
- Implement and maintain data models ensure data quality and resolve any datarelated issues.
- Troubleshoot issues perform root cause analysis and implement improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders ensuring clear communication and handling support tasks when necessary.
MustHave Skills:
- Strong SQL skills: Ability to write/read complex SQL queries.
- Experience in BigQuery (preferred) or other DWH tools like RedShift or Snowflake.
- Experience with data transformation tools like Dataform (preferred) or dbt.
- Proficiency with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and its services.
- Experience with version control using Git.
- UpperIntermediate English proficiency enabling clear business communication.
- Excellent soft skills with a readiness to communicate with stakeholders and handle 24/7 support (2x per week).
NicetoHave Skills:
- Familiarity with JavaScript Python and Java.
- Experience leading a team.
- Prior experience working in a support environment.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong database solutions and design experience.
- Knowledge of ETL concepts and the development lifecycle.
- Proficient in Python and familiar with data migrations in GCP.

IF YOU ARE
- An experienced Data Engineer with at least a 5year working background
- Strong in SQL and other database solutions database design and reporting
- Skilled in BigQuery or other Data Warehouse (DWH) tools like RedShift of Snowflake
- Familiar with data transformation tools like Dataform (desirable) or dbt
- Proficient with Git
- Confident in Python development
- Knowledgeable in GCP Cloud Migration
- Aware of ETL concepts
- Understanding the development lifecycle testing implementation and documentation
- Proficient in English at an upperintermediate level to cover business needs
- A practitioner of JavaScript and Java (would be an advantage)
- Having a leading experience (nicetohave)
- Familiar with working in a support team (as a plus)
