Job Description

Job Title: Nurse Supervisor House (Nursing)

Location: Watertown NY 13601

Guaranteed Hours: 36

Duration: 13 Weeks Contract

Pay Rate: $68/hr

  • Long Term Care
  • 60 MILE RADIUS RULE
  • 168 bed facility
  • 12 hour Nights
  • 7pm7am
  • OT after 48
  • NY license
  • BLS
  • 4 units
  • The facility has a mix of long term short term and dementia .
  • No trachs or vents .
  • Acuity level depends on admissions and the current resident medical status .
  • Head to toe assessment ER transfers in collaboration with medical providers admission and order second checks.
  • Point click Care E MAR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision: Oversee and support nursing staff including RNs LPNs and nursing assistants ensuring they provide appropriate and effective patient care.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Ensure that patients receive timely and appropriate care including monitoring patient conditions managing admissions and discharges and addressing any patient care concerns.
  • Resource Management: Allocate nursing resources effectively including managing staffing levels adjusting schedules as needed and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance on clinical matters support staff in complex clinical situations and ensure adherence to best practices and evidencebased care.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate the quality of nursing care provided participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between nursing staff physicians and other healthcare departments facilitating clear and effective communication to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Emergency Response: Lead and coordinate the nursing response to emergencies within the facility including overseeing patient triage and crisis management.
  • Staff Development: Mentor and support the professional development of nursing staff providing feedback conducting performance evaluations and identifying opportunities for training and education.

Qualifications:

  • A valid RN license.
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Several years of clinical nursing experience with a preference for experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
