In this role you will collaborate closely with the Team Leader engaging directly with clients to understand and address their needs. Your responsibilities will include developing and producing reports specifications and guidance as well as overseeing testing and commissioning activities. Requirements
Strong technical expertise in Mechanical Design Engineering with a comprehensive understanding of Building Services Engineering and interdisciplinary design throughout all project stages.
Solid experience with standards and codes relevant to building services.
Capable of conducting MEP building services surveys independently with minimal supervision.
Proficient in detailed peer reviews with a solid knowledge of regulatory and standards documentation.
Experience managing and delivering projects of various sizes and complexities across different RIBA stages.
Able to perform essential calculations including maximum demands and typical W/m applying mechanical theory effectively.
Some experience working on projects within existing buildings.
Skilled in site inspections and witnessing commissioning activities.
Ability to build strong working relationships with clients project managers managing agents and contractors.
Previous consultancy experience with an appreciation for complementary disciplines such as acoustics fire engineering and computer modelling in building design.
Capable of leading small to mediumsized projects autonomously and taking a brief on larger projects to deliver and control required tasks.
Committed to delivering highquality outputs.
Strong understanding of client needs with the ability to engage with clients effectively.
Able to identify when outsourcing is necessary such as for design or CAD work.
Capable of assessing and allocating project resources effectively.
Experience mentoring and supervising junior staff.
Chartered engineer or working towards chartered status.
