Position Name: Registered Nurse Home Health
Location: Sterling Heights MI 48313
Start Date: ASAP
Employment Type: Fulltime Travel Contract Temporary
Contract Length:13 weeksAccepting Local and Travel Candidates
Pay Rate: $1800 to $2000 weekly
Unit: Home Health Hospice
Shift: 8 Hours; Days 8.00a 5.00p
Schedule: 40 hours / week guaranteed 5 shifts per week (MF) Weekends are not required unless the traveler opts to work on weekends.
- Registered Nurse experience: 2 years Required
- Home Health nursing: 2 years Required
- Infusion care and wound care experience: Required
- Home Care Home Base (HCHB) Charting experience: Required
- OASIS experience: Preferred
- Prior Travel Nursing experience Preferred
Education License and Certification Requirements:
- ASN Degree or Diploma in Nursing Required
- BSN Degree in Nursing Preferred
- RN License for State of Michigan Required
- AHA BLS Certification Required
Job Description:
- Implements the clients program of professional nursing service to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Clinical Services Supervisor in accordance with agency standards and policies.
- Initiates and provides medically prescribed skilled nursing care and/or health counseling that contributes to the treatment of the medical condition achievement of the rehabilitation potential and/or reduction of pain and other symptoms.
- Makes the initial visit to assess the patients physical and emotional status needs and resources through observation interview and analysis of records.
- Prepares the nursing plan of care in accordance with the physicians plan of treatment based on problems identified in the nursing assessment and provides patient teaching using the Care Plan/Standard of Care.
- Completes patient documentation and charting on time per client policies and procedures.
- Area of Coverage: Up to 100 miles in Bay County Up to 7 visits daily
