Lab Assistants work in Phlebotomy Outreach and/or Processing and are responsible for duties that may include some or all of the following: patient intake (customer service reception registration scheduling) order management (activating / entering orders or following up with provider offices to clarify or complete information) specimen collection (phlebotomy techniques collection requirements and specimen handling) specimen flow (transport receipt processing distribution to testing areas tracking storage retrieval and disposal) pointofcare testing and assisting scientists technologists or technicians in clinical areas as directed.
Requirement description :

• 1 Years of Phlebotomy Experience Required
• ASCP in Phlebotomy Highly Preferred but not required
• BLS (AHA) Required
