Job Summary:
The company a leader in aerospace manufacturing is looking for a dedicated and detailoriented Silicon Operator Level 1 to join our team in Gardena CA. The Silicon Operator will be responsible for handling and processing siliconbased materials in a production environment. This is an entrylevel position designed for those looking to gain experience in aerospace manufacturing while ensuring adherence to safety quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor silicon processing equipment including ovens mixers and curing machines to meet production goals.
- Follow detailed instructions and work orders to measure mix and process siliconbased materials in accordance with product specifications.
- Inspect and verify materials and final products to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerance levels.
- Use basic measuring tools and equipment to ensure precision during production.
- Record production data accurately including material usage quantities produced and any issues encountered.
- Perform routine maintenance on silicon processing machines such as cleaning and calibrating equipment to ensure smooth operation.
- Identify any product defects or equipment malfunctions and report them to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area by following proper housekeeping and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all company and industry safety standards including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues and support higherlevel operators and maintenance teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with close attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods in a physically demanding role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with silicon processing or materials handling is advantageous.
- Forklift certification or experience with material handling equipment.
Work Environment:
- Fulltime position in a manufacturing setting.
- Exposure to chemicals heat and heavy machinery in a production environment.
