Your responsibilities will include engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems UPS emergency systems grounding lighting and low voltage communications systems in complex industrial facilities. Design will also occasionally include retrofit of existing building systems to accommodate.
Our client is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Designer to join their team in London Kingston or Kitchener Ontario. As a key member of the electrical engineering team you will design and draft electrical systems for various building services projects. Responsibilities include:
Designing power distribution and generation systems lighting fire alarm and voice/data communications systems
Creating drawings in AutoCAD and REVIT
Coordinating with clients contractors and sales representatives
Conducting site visits and construction phase services
Collaborating with other engineering disciplines
Qualifications
10 years of electrical design experience in the building construction industry with at least 5 years in Ontario
University degree in Electrical Engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Strong knowledge of OBC OESC and other relevant codes
Excellent communication organizational and project management skills
Ability to work well under deadlines and lead teams
Experience in various industry sectors (multiunit residential (MUR) healthcare commercial industrial institutional)
