Job Description
Overview:
As a Taxi Driver you play a crucial role in providing transportation services to passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort. You will be the frontline representative of the taxi company responsible for adhering to road safety regulations and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a clean and mechanically sound taxi vehicle
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Provide assistance with luggage and ensure the comfort of passengers
- Utilize map reading and GPS systems to determine the best routes
- Collect payment and issue receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the taxi interior
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers
- Ensure the safety and security of passengers at all times
- Keep accurate records of miles driven and payments received
- Provide excellent customer service and remain professional at all times
Required Qualifications:
- Valid drivers license
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns
- Excellent map reading skills
- Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic repairs
