Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat urological diseases and conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures such as prostatectomies nephrectomies and cystectomies.
- Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments.
- Interpret diagnostic and imaging tests such as ultrasounds and MRIs.
- Counsel and educate patients on urological health and wellness.
- Conduct regular patient examinations and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Stay updated on advancements in urological research and technology.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and case conferences.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in healthcare.
- Participate in teaching training and supervising medical students and residents.
- Contribute to academic research and publication within the field of urology.
- Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives related to urological health.

Required qualifications
- Doctorate of Medicine (DM) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a urology residency program.
- Board certification in urology.
- Licensing as a urologist in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating urological conditions.
- Proficiency in urological surgical procedures.
- Strong understanding of urological medications and treatments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex medical data and make informed decisions.
