Job Title: Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Legal Strategy & Risk Management:

• Develop and implement legal strategies that align with business objectives.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal risks ensuring regulatory compliance across all areas of the business.

1. Corporate Governance & Compliance:

• Oversee corporate governance matters including board meetings equity issuance and shareholder agreements.
• Ensure adherence to labor data protection and industryspecific regulations.

1. Contracts & Agreements:

• Draft review and negotiate all contracts including partnership agreements vendor contracts and NDAs.
• Ensure contracts align with business goals and protect the company from risks.

1. Fundraising & Equity Structure:

• Provide legal support for fundraising activities ensuring compliance with securities regulations.
• Work with the finance team on equity structuring stock options and investor agreements.

1. Dispute Resolution & Litigation:

• Manage and resolve legal disputes handling litigation and other legal proceedings as necessary.

Qualifications:

• 8 years of experience in corporate law preferably with exposure to startups and equitybased roles.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance contract law and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in managing legal risks and supporting business growth.
• Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic startup environment with minimal resources.
