Job Description
This role is for one of the Weekdays clients
We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with a strong focus on backend development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python Flask and Django frameworks and be proficient in building scalable microservices. Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python Flask and Django.
- Build scalable and efficient microservices to support highvolume applications.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with cloud technologies such as GCP and AWS to deploy and manage applications.
- Write clean maintainable and efficient code with a strong focus on testdriven development (TDD).
- Implement and maintain APIs ensuring seamless integration with frontend systems.
- Monitor and improve system reliability security and scalability.
- Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
Required Skills:
- Python: Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
- Frameworks: Expertise in Flask and Django frameworks.
- Microservices: Proven experience designing and developing microservices architectures.
- Cloud Platforms: Handson experience with GCP and AWS for deploying and managing applications.
- APIs: Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Database Management: Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Version Control: Proficient in Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
- Understanding of DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka RabbitMQ).
- Knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in Python backend development.
- Proven track record of working with Flask Django and microservices.
- Strong experience in cloud environments (GCP AWS).
