Overview: We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with experience in Shopify to join our dynamic team. As a WordPress Developer at BuildSuite you will be responsible for both backend and frontend development including creating WordPress themes and plugins customizing Shopify themes and integrating Shopify functionalities into WordPress sites.
Responsibilities:
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch using PHP HTML CSS and JavaScript.
Customize and maintain Shopify themes and templates to meet project requirements.
Integrate Shopify functionalities (e.g. product listings payment gateways) into WordPress sites seamlessly.
Ensure responsive design and optimal performance of websites across various devices and browsers.
Collaborate with design teams to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability. Perform ongoing maintenance and updates to websites.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to WordPress and Shopify integrations.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to improve processes and enhance website functionalities.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with strong PHP programming skills.
Experience working with Shopify and customizing Shopify themes.
Solid understanding of frontend technologies including HTML5 CSS3 JavaScript and jQuery.
Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.
Knowledge of SEO best practices.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
