Overview:
The L3 Network Support Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability integrity and efficient operation of the companys network infrastructure. They are responsible for providing advanced technical support for networkrelated issues optimizing network performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve complex network issues and provide advanced technical support
- Design implement and support network infrastructure solutions
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless network operations
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning activities
- Implement and maintain network security measures
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
- Participate in the oncall rotation and respond to network outages
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation
- Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of new network technologies
- Conduct regular network health checks and audits
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Industry certifications such as CCNP JNCIP or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in network support and administration
- Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g. BGP OSPF EIGRP)
- Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g. Wireshark SolarWinds)
- Proficiency in firewall configuration and management
- Strong understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and network security principles
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
