Job Description

The Construction Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projects ensuring that they are completed on time within budget and in compliance with regulations and quality standards. This position is essential for coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure the success of construction projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate construction projects from conception to completion
  • Develop project plans including scope budget and schedule
  • Oversee and manage contractors vendors and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes safety regulations and quality standards
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays
  • Prepare and analyze project budgets and report on financial performance
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with suppliers and service providers
  • Collaborate with architects engineers and other professionals to ensure project success
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure work is being carried out according to specifications
  • Communicate project status and updates to key stakeholders and management
  • Implement and maintain project documentation and records
  • Resolve conflicts or disputes that may arise during construction projects
  • Support the development and implementation of safety and risk management policies
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance construction efficiency
  • Participate in the selection and procurement of materials equipment and resources


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture or related field
  • Proven work experience in construction management or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction processes building codes and regulations
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to interpret and understand architectural and engineering drawings
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
  • Knowledge of safety and risk management practices in construction
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Familiarity with construction contracts and procurement processes
  • Problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities
  • Professional certification in construction management or related field is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel to project sites as needed
