Overview:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment medication administration and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of highquality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and take vital signs.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
- Assist with patient care activities such as wound care and catheterization.
- Provide patient and family education on healthcare needs and disease management.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
- Assist in emergency medical situations and provide first aid care.
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and report changes in patient conditions to the supervising nurse or physician.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Provides health care education inmates
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
- Current LVN license in the state of Texas
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- Must be IV Therapy Certified
- 1 year of Med/Surg LTAC experience.
